Activity is not expected during the next 48 hours
June 1st is an important day for those of us in the Caribbean as it marks the official beginning of the Atlantic Hurricane Season. As such, NOAA just turned on their storm tracking site. Let’s hope it remains as it is today for much of the summer and fall.
While we are here in St. Lucia enjoying the overly brisk trade winds, one of our longtime readers and frequent commenters, John Ahern, is in France picking up his brand new catamaran! Isn’t that cool? Way to make it happen, John. Check out his site to read all about it.
As for our new ride, we just received word that the Yamaha F40 that we ordered for our new tender has arrived in St. Maarten. Woo hoo! Additionally, we started the design process yesterday to acquire a logo for the boat which, after we take possession, will be renamed One Love. If you are an artist and are interested in earning $200.00, visit this crowdSPRING link to see how you can have your design ideas considered.
In the meantime, while you’re enjoying your Saturday morning coffee, check out this short video clip that we put together from footage shot while hiking the windward coast of Martinique. Turn up the volume, put the video on HD (you can adjust that with the little gear symbol on the video box) and relax. 🙂
So, what are you going to do during this long boring wait for some flat conditions? There must three or four hills that you haven’t climbed/hiked judging by the Google Earth images.
Or perhaps you are going to produce two more e-books for us – I hope! 🙂
Mike
Well, today we’re going to the cinema to watch the new Star Trek movie.
Hope you have an uneventful H season on the Atlantic side.
We have already had a hurricane on the Pacific side.
Wouldn’t it be nice if it was the only one?
