Not much in the way of cruising stuff to report today, other than we now have pirates for neighbors, and they run B.Y.O.G. (Bring Your Own Grog) Cruises. I love it! 🙂

Our new dock neighbors.

Nothing But Trouble, a very cool band, was playing at the Cat’s Eye Pub. We had a great time at this place. The music was awesome.

Rebecca sometimes thinks that my name should be “Nothing But Trouble.”

  1. Oh my. I would need to be well grogged BEFORE stepping on board.

I saw a similarly hideous boat sailing out of Norfolk. Probably it is the same one, up for the festival, now that beach scene is dead for the year; I hope there is only one.

  2. I finally caught up on all your posts. So far, your blog is one of the best I’ve stumbled across for introducing my wife to cruising.

Like yourselves, we plan to buy a sailing catamaran within the next two years and are in the “learning and saving” period. We’re planning on a Gemini strictly because of the shallow draft they offer, which corresponds to many of the places we’ve been sailing this summer with our Hobie Mirage Tandem Island (http://www.hobiecat.com/sailboats/tandem-island/).

I got started sailing when I was 11-years old in Long Island Sound, then the Chesapeake and other areas. I’ve owned or sailed board boats, small sailboats, day sailors, cabin cruisers up to 45 feet, windsurfers, kayaks, canoes, etc. But owning a decently sized sailing catamaran is new to me and the information you’re sharing is wonderful. Thank you!

And we’ll keep an eye out for you at the Annapolis Show!

    • Hi Mitch

If you do see us at the boat show please make sure you grab us and say hi.

BTW, That Hobie looks like it would be a lot of fun.

      Mike
