Book your days
Carol and Livia on Estrellita are a mere 2 days from casting off, the Sailboat Family is posting about leaving and the days are rapidly ticking by for us as well. In fact, other than having our friends and family come to visit to go on some last-minute sailing excursions on our boat, there’s not too much keeping us here.
We were very happy to have my sister and her family visit us yesterday. The weather wasn’t spectacular but we were able to get out for a good sail anyway. For the friends and family who would like to do something similar, we suggest you give us a call or an email and book your day(s). We’d love to be able to take everyone out and with the time flying by so quickly, I think we’re going to need to practice some time management to do it!
It must be such a surreal feeling! How does it feel to be free?!
I honestly can’t say that it feels much different (yet). It is nice to be able to go where we want, when we want, without needing to be back at the office.
Cruising is about not having a fixed schedule, but starting cruising seems to require one.
I understand completely, but funny.
We’re trying very hard to not have a fixed departure date. There are less and less reasons to stay though.
Mike and Rebecca, it won’t be long now. Just a few more days, and you will be free. I’m so glad for you!
Thanks Helen!
Whooo-hoo! Can’t wait to see you all here in the Chesapeake later this summer. Fair winds and following seas!
Definitely. When we meet up you’ll need to teach me how you take such great photographs (on your blog) and all your PDQ secrets.
I just want to let you both know how excited we are for you. It brings back some great memories from when we were in the similar position. Enjoy these moments, they are absolutely priceless.
Fair Winds,
Mike
Thank you very much, Mike.
