Dream Day
Made easy by Facebook’s “On This Day” feature, many people have taken to sharing flashback photos on Thursdays. Throwback Thursday many people call it, and it’s kind of fun. Rather than focusing exclusively on the past though, I have started, at least to myself, referring to Sundays as Dream Day, a day when I focus on what our future plans are.
After today’s early-morning squall abated, leaving the cockpit dry enough for us to move upstairs, Rebecca and I enjoyed our coffee while reading up on Patagonia. Yes, we will get there!
How about you? What gets you excited? Where will your dreams be taking you?
Note: Remember, you shouldn’t be working on a Sunday, so enjoy the day!
Coincidentally I came across this quote this morning…..
“I don’t know where I’m going, but I’m on my way” – Carl Sagan (1934-1996)
I know we’ll be in New Zealand this month. We’re not sure from there. There are a few routes to OZ from there: Up to Fiji, then New Caledonia, then OZ?, Or direct to the Whitsundays? Great Barrier Reef for a season? We’ll work it out over the next few months.
But we ARE going……
Like it.
Somehow I randomly came across the youtube channel of Michail Belov who has a few videos of sailing to Chile on a Catalina 22. In fact on one video he is sailing his small sailboat in some pretty big seas….. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Le6MmNGpV0s no way I’m doing that in my Cat 22!
A Catalina 22? Wow!
you might check his blog too SailingChile.cl
I have no connection.
Thank you!
My dream is to sail around the world. I have the route picked out and I have the boat picked out. Now I just need to make it happen. At this point I figure the odds of making it are 3 out of 10. I’m working on improving the odds. 🙂
One step at a time.
