Fitness at Sea
With all of things we have to worry about I am happy that keeping in shape while traveling won’t be one of them. We are HUGE fans of the TRX Suspension Trainer and feel it will be perfect for our workouts, both on our boat and at shore.
Below is a photo of someone who already figured this out…
I just found your blog and I’m getting caught up with all your old posts. Great stuff here, cruising is something I’m really interested in and I’m kind of in the same place you were, I have a lot to learn. I guess I’m more in the “pre-planning” aka “dreaming” stage now. Anyway, the fitness thing is something I had thought about myself although from what I hear sailing itself can be a pretty good workout. I like this idea anyway, looks like it would be easy to take aboard, a lot more portable than a kettlebell which is something I had thought about that might not be such a great idea.
Thanks for the great blog, and I look forward to getting caught up.
Hi Mark
Thanks for the comment. If you are at all athletic, you will be extremely disappointed by the “sailing as a workout” thing. That’s really not true. Fitness on a boat, like on land, needs to be worked at.
