In preparation for our guest Carl arriving last evening, Rebecca and I spent most of yesterday cleaning the boat, both inside and out, and making extra water. Requiring a few supplies, Rebecca also took one of our bikes into shore to ride to the mall to do some shopping. As the bike hadn’t been used in a couple of weeks, we noticed before she left that one of the tires had gone a bit soft. As we re-inflated the tire, I was reminded of just how useful our portable 12 volt compressor has been for us.

Bike tires, volleyballs, beach toys and more have all been the recipient of air from our Air Man compressor. Previously having lived in our SUV for auto emergencies, it is actually one of the few things that we kept and brought with us from our land life that continues to get some use. It’s small so it stores easily and has a long 12 volt cord so that we can plug it in inside the boat and yet still bring it out into the cockpit to inflate things. Two thumbs up for the Air Man!

For those looking to pick up a pump like this, I see that Amazon is now selling a newer model manufactured by the same company.

Putting up our Halloween Jack o’ Lantern was also on yesterday’s to-do list.

  1. whether on land or at sea, it is nice sometimes to have a reason to clean….Have fun and look forward to your stories again this year with Carl….

  2. I LOVE the fender! And I also have a small inflator, as well as a 12 volt charger. VERY handy, ashore or afloat!
