Goodbye Les Saintes, hello Dominica
After a pleasant 4 hour sail today, we arrived in Dominica, having left Les Saintes behind. During our initial trip down island last year we passed by Dominica and since doing so, have heard nothing but reports of all the great hiking and exploring that we missed. We’re now looking forward to making amends for that mistake. But before we said goodbye to Les Saintes, we took the opportunity to hike to the highest point of Terre de Haut, Le Chameau. Wow, what a view!
PS: We’ll be dining on Tuna Sushi tonight. Mmmmm!
The first pic of the view uphill is breathtaking!
The one of Rebecca’s bum? 😉
Amazing pictures. Looks like you guys are having a blast traveling the Caribbean! Do you have an idea of how much longer you will continue to sail? Is it something you could do forever now that your out there?
Hi Jeff
First, thanks for the comment. As for how long we’ll do this, we have little idea what we’ll be doing next week much less far beyond that. When it stops being fun, or we run out of money, we’ll change and do something else. Until then…
Beautiful with lots of hiking … sound like the perfect place for you two!
Maybe we won’t ever leave?
What an amazing view. You can see ZTC as a little square way below. It brings me joy to see you having a blast.
Thanks Jim. The view was spectacular. We enjoy climbing to high places and having the tower on the top of the hill that we could go up made it even better.
If you are in the mood try “Extreme Dominica” for some serious repelling down some waterfalls. It owned and run by a couple of expats. The wife and I are ready to go back and do the advanced runs. It is a little pricey, but worth it.

Interesting. I’ll look that up.
Rebecca should enter “Ms Fitness USA”…………
Or Ms Fitness Grenada!
