Not a world record but…
It may not be a world record but perhaps it’s a marina record? That is, sleeping on board our boat this early in the season. I’ll have to check with the owners of Collin’s Bay Marina to be sure but I think it’s pretty early in the year for this area.
After a long day of boat stuff I decided at the last moment to surprise Rebecca by picking her up from work and taking her to the boat to spend the night. Prior to that I rushed home and loaded up the truck with the salon cushions, PJs, toiletries, coffee press and coffee. On the way to get her I stopped to pick up some take out from our favorite restaurant and a nice bottle of Riesling.
Was she surprised? Well, she figured out most of it when I turned right coming out of the parking lot instead of left. She did enjoy it though and we have decided that there’s no turning back now, we are officially once again live-aboards!
Note: This was posted from the boat using my laptop, tethered to my iphone.
Envy! Envy! Envy! Our boat doesn’t go in until a week from Wedensday:-(
That’s not too long though. Good luck Allan.
I’m sure last night must have been surreal, and to say you’re now liveaboards. How exciting! We can’t wait to get rid of our house and be able to say the same thing. Congratulations.
Thanks guys. It’ll be nice when we can say that we are both live-aboards AND cruisers!
