Waterfall hike in colour
As promised, here are some shots of our recent hike to the waterfall on the River Deshaies. If you’re in the area, make sure that you do this!

Looks like another hard day at the office…
Great pics
That it was, Gerry! 🙂
I hope you do not take for granted what you guys are experiencing and able to enjoy…Just beautiful time in your life kids!
We don’t take it for granted. Nor did we assume that we would be able to do what we’re doing later in life! Taking for granted that the opportunity will exist “tomorrow” is a big error in my opinion.
I hope in 2014 to be out there!!!! I hope I have the balls to “just do it” and start a new chapter in my life….
You have the balls, Dude. I know it!
Reminds me of Dunn’s River Falls at Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
We have yet to visit there. Perhaps at some point in the future we will though.
Awesome pics! You’re becoming a master photographer! Love what you two are able to do with a tree trunk 😉
Thanks Debbie! 🙂
Another thing that can cause sudden gusts is called the Venturi effect. When wind (or water, for that matter!) is forced through a narrow opening, such as between two hills, it speeds up. In south Florida, this can be observed along the ICW, and gets referred to as “condo effect”, when one is being polite! The same law of motion is used by engineers to make engines put out more power.
Good call, Helen. Thanks for adding that.
Will definitely check this out if we’re ever in that area. Looks great!
You must!
Are you hiking with George from SV Earthling or David Blaine and his levitation tricks?
(the last pic)
LOL
Great!
And that last picture – that is the first time I have seen someone walking on water!
Mike
He has extra special talents! 😉
