I mentioned a couple of days ago that the Canadian registration for our new boat had been approved. This morning we met our friend Chrystal on the dock where she handed over the official documents that Transport Canada had FedExed to us (when you live on a boat, it helps to have friends that have an actual mailing address).

Knowing that we were due to receive the registration certificate, yesterday Rebecca and I decided to remove the old name and port placards from the stern so that we could have new ones made up. Seeing that they were only held on by 3 bolts each, that job should have only taken a couple of minutes, right? Ha! The details are hardly worth relaying but anyone who owns a boat, or who has followed our trials on this blog, knows how it really turned out!

    Yes still following your blog….
    Be safe, Casper

  6. Here’s a dumb question: Do you have to be a Canadian citizen to register your boat as a Canadian vessel?
